Cloud Storage & Sync
Keep your worlds safe and accessible from anywhere with cloud storage.
What is Cloud Storage?
Manifest's cloud storage automatically saves your worlds to secure cloud servers. This provides:
- Automatic Backup: Your worlds are saved automatically
- Cross-Device Access: Access your worlds from any device
- Version History: Restore previous versions if needed
- Sharing: Easily share worlds with others
- Safety: Never lose your work due to hardware failure
Enabling Cloud Sync
Cloud sync is enabled by default when you sign in to Manifest. To verify or configure:
- Open Manifest settings
- Go to "Cloud Storage" section
- Ensure "Enable Cloud Sync" is checked
- Verify your account is signed in
- Check available storage space
Once enabled, all your worlds are automatically synced to the cloud whenever you save.
Accessing Worlds on Other Devices
To access your worlds on a different device:
- Install Manifest on the new device
- Sign in with the same account
- Open the "My Worlds" section
- Your synced worlds will appear automatically
- Click on a world to download and open it
The first time you open a world on a new device, it will download from the cloud. Subsequent opens are instant if the world is already downloaded.
Sync Behavior
Automatic Sync
Worlds are automatically synced when you save. Changes are uploaded in the background, so you can continue working without interruption.
Conflict Resolution
If you edit a world on multiple devices, Manifest will prompt you to choose which version to keep when conflicts are detected.
Offline Mode
You can work offline. Changes will sync automatically when you reconnect to the internet.
Selective Sync
You can choose which worlds to sync to save storage space. Unsynced worlds remain local-only.
Storage Limits
Storage limits depend on your subscription tier:
Free Tier
5 GB cloud storage
Creator
50 GB cloud storage
Creator Plus
200 GB cloud storage
You can check your storage usage in Settings → Cloud Storage. If you approach your limit, consider archiving old worlds or upgrading your plan.
Best Practices
- Save frequently—cloud sync happens automatically on save
- Use descriptive names for your worlds to find them easily
- Archive completed projects to free up space
- Keep important worlds synced for safety
- Check sync status if you notice issues
- Back up critical worlds locally as well
